But, seriously. If you can knit and you can purl, You Can Double Knit.
There are so many fabulous reasons for double knitting!! Essentially, you are knitting two pieces of fabric at once. If you work in one color, you can knit a pocket into your sweater without having to go back later and sew it in. You can also knit it in two colors, and create really cool patterns that are completely reversible, and reverse images. The fabric is nice and thick, and makes great pot holders and warm, squishy blankets!
